I agree. People spend $5000 USD on a DAC that sounds a tiny bit better than one for $1000 and nobody's complaining about this on audiophile forums. This card has a measurable 30% increase in performance for a 70% more money. GTX 1080 is 30% faster than GTX 1070 for 55% more money. That's just...- fomoz

Thank you for the replies! Eurogamer posted a review today that said the fan gets too loud past 65%. Would it be reasonably safe to say I could expect boost to settle around 1900 MHz with a mild core + RAM OC? I would like to keep fan noise reasonable and I have two slots separating the cards...- fomoz

Interesting points. If they sold it at the usual Canadian online retailers and had custom models, I'd be OK to get a pair for $1200 USD each. Buying from nvidia.com I have to pay an extra 9.5% tax, but my main issue is the cooler. I'm really enjoying the silent open-air cooler on my custom GTX...- fomoz
