Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
So now that we know all about Alder Lake, are thoughts still the same? 12600KF is slightly cheaper than a 5600X. Platform-wise I calculate about $100-$150 more for Alder Lake.
I think it supports them all from Ryzen 3 1200 all the way up. Not sure if it will be extended to support the B2 stepping or 3D VC chips but I don't see why not. Probably will have to reflash firmware whether stepping up or down in CPU. An interesting board. 12+2 phase VRM same as other Asus...
Does anyone have this board? Seems it will run anything from a Ryzen 5 1600AF all the way up to a Ryzen 9 5950X. Lots of USB ports and a type-c front panel header.
Thanks for all the replies. I'll wait to see the reports of 1440p gaming on the new 12000's to see if they offer any serious advantage. If not, maybe they will force the prices of the 5600x or the 11400F to fall.
So my son managed to get a 3080 FTW3 Ultra on EVGA's queue system and now needs to build his new PC around it (currently has 2500K ITX with 1050 ti and 450W PSU). He will be moving to 1440p 120hz+ monitor. So the question is: Ryzen 5 5600X on a B550 or Intel 11400F on a Z590/B560? or wait for...
As long as the RAM is low density, it should be fine. The 2GB stick was sold to me as low density but is high (since 2GB low density is 2R and not 1R). 2R is usually low density, especially in 1GB and 2GB forms.
I have a 2GB DDR3 1R 1333 that claims to be a Kingston Value RAM. Since its high density (1R) it won't boot in the target PC (Lenovo M58p). I would like to trade straight up for 2X1GB sticks of DDR3 of any speed. I am located in Western Canada.
