Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'll add AppCleaner to the list:
If you don't like one of these apps, you drag it on top of this app, and it'll cear out the Preference and Application Support files that go with it.
Transmission is the better Torrent client on OS X, IMO
If you have any USB Audio devices (Headsets or...
This never works. Machines are released with a special build of OS X for the new hardware. Those changes get folded into the next point update, so if you held out until 10.6.7 to buy the new hardware, that would have worked.
And the included restore DVDs are for that model machine only...
The only paper that seems to matter around here is one that says "B.S" - My A.A.S., A+, and 5 years experience right out of college apparently mean nothing, either.
My former employer had a kid with a B.S. come in as a temp right before the holidays and we had to train him in pretty much...
Yes, that's a supported configuration running on Apple hardware (and that's the only version of OS X supported):
It runs really smooth too, even with just a gig of Ram on the 2-year old MBP
It's still annoying that you can't use ESX/vSphere/Anything not running on an Intel Mac, though
I love when they do that (as long as it's not my money! ;) )
I would always do some messing around with the desktops and servers before getting down to business. Get it to work while documenting, reformat, duplicate without all the messing around I did to get it working to start.
You could...
I'm sorry to say that I can't help much regarding the iCal server, though I've attempted to get it working on my test VM (and I'd be closer if I decided to point my machine to the server's DNS, but I can't do that at the moment) however I haven't gotten it yet. -- I ended up skimming This Document
That's an impressive (and even comprehensive!) mod!
I'm going to have to agree with you (and Wiregeek) on keeping it as stock as possible. Nothing like almost not being able to tell there's a PC in there! I was hoping you'd be using the controller ports as I watched, and you certainly didn't...
4848 hours here. The monitor has been rock solid with the exception of a bit of image retention in the top 1/4 inch of the screen. (I had the black line that separates Aero glass from the main Firefox window for at least a week before I re-enabled the Glasser Extension)
I just wish I would have...
I've heard of people being able to use a normal PC Video card when running Windows on a Mac Pro (last I looked was the Early 2008 model though). The card won't work properly when running OS X, even if support for the HD 5000-series is added.
