E4300 + FSB set to 333, RAM to 667 = 9x333 -> 3.0Ghz without breaking a sweat, on a very tight budget.

So I just got mine, it says "V1B18 - RT803" What does that mean? It seems pretty good, I barely noticed any flickering.

I think you get more value for your money going for an E4300, or at least waiting for the E6420. I wouldn't buy the E6400 right now. Mobo- I would go with the Asus P5N-E SLI, it's cheaper, showed good performance on many reviews and supports SLI/quad core Ram- There are cheaper options...

Well if you're buying NOW, the E4300 is stil better because even though the CPU difference is only $10, you can save $100 or so buying cheaper ram and a cheaper mobo, but still getting an excelent performance
