My AW3418DW has been flicker free @ 120HZ for the last 2 years

I bought a new Samsung 970 500GB stick and im back at full speed. Perhaps something was wrong with the old one

I run windows 10 and use the MSI MEG ACE Z390 motherboard. I am struggling to understand why my NVME drives write performance is abysmal. Ive done a fresh install of windows which did not resolve the issue. The latest intel chipset drivers are installed as well.

So it looks like my system just doesnt report the temps correctly. Im using a Gigabyte X99P-SLI motherboard. I ran a disk benchmark (ATTO) and during the benchmark the reported tempature didnt increase at all and the benchmark results show no signs of throttling.

My 240GB model idles at 75C for whatever reason....anyone else experience this? Has anyone lowered their temps significantly?
