Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Well, I didn't think so either until I got an error while buring a DVD which was to either insert a blank DVD (which I already had in), or download the correct DVD burner drivers. Would you recommend a better DVD burner?
I have a Sony DW-U10A DVD/CD RW drive and I need some drivers for it. I searched around for some but was wondering if there are any legitimate sites that you guys would recommend? My friend just got a virus recently so I am a bit weary of downloading from foreign places.
I have had no more crashes after clearing the crap out from the heatsink but I haven't had time to really test it out. I'm glad to hear that everything seems fine now, I just don't remember ever having that kind of range in the temps. I'll report back after I've tried it out more. :)
Alright, I took the whole card apart and got all of the gunk out from the heatsink and applied some new thermal paste. Now when I boot up I am idling at 48 degrees C! I opened up some Half Life 2: Episode 1 and played it for about 5 minutes until the very end of the game, watching the temps as I...
I installed the 71.84 drivers only to find that even booting up into windows caused my video card to overheat (I downloaded RivaTuner) and crash. I booted up into safe mode, ran driver cleaner and then reinstalled the drivers which had been working prior to installing the 71.84 drivers. Now I am...
I have been having this problem recently with my 6800 GT where it has been dramatically over -heating in any semi-demanding game, to the point where my computer will crash in a matter of minutes while playing the game. The weird this is that even when I lower the video settings to the LOWEST...
It says ready to ship by May 15th... For $100 I might have to get myself one. :)
edit: Nevermind, I didn't read the whole article. It looks like I probobly wont be purchasing one.
I'd recommend any Mid-Tower Lian-Li case. Nice, sturdy cases and you can get some around $125 on Newegg. The Full-Tower original stacker looks pretty good too. It allows for a lot of upgrade and gives you the optional water-cooling for later..
