Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I started noticing this "sparkly white" effect recently so I decided to do something about it.
The specific issue I have is that whites look "blotchy". They aren't a pure white. This could be described as sparkly, adjective a, adjective b, etc.
I figured I had started noticing this AG...
I just received a new u3011 and am quite surprised by the factory calibrated modes.
The standard setting looks fine, just with the usual wide-gamut intense colors.
The sRGB setting however looks terrible. The colors are totally different from anything I've ever seen on a monitor. Very...
I have a 2707 that is now 4 years old and it hasn't aged well. Colors are shifting towards yellow, display is losing brightness uniformity, etc. I will point out that the thing had heavy use 16 hours a day all year for all 4 years though.
I would look at it and see what you think. If it looks...
I'm about to get a new HTPC and am also wondering what to do about a remote. That Logitech looks very expensive, and the Lenovo does seem "cheap" as you say. Is there anything like the Thinkpad keyboard but wireless? A point stick would be great.
The Lenovo store does have this, but it is...
I wear glasses too and I usually don't wear them while watching TV (very mild perscription). Dealing with them prevents me from lying on my side comfortably.
I have 12 in my system and I'm glad I have it. I run an Ubuntu VM with 6 GB that I do a fair bit of coding in. This machine typically has 20-50 browser tabs and a few editors open. My preferred language is Scala, for which Eclipse takes ~2GB to run smoothly. Running an Android emulator is also...
I used 2007WFPs all summer at work while having a 2209 at home. I think I preferred the 2209. This is a bit of a bullshit post because they weren't next to each other, but it did seem easier on the eyes. When the brightness is turned down it does get dim enough for my tastes. The only issue I...
~1.5 GB a month or so. Heavy maps usage, along with a fair bit of web browsing. I also tether a fair bit. This is on a rooted/OCed Droid running Froyo.
I've also had nothing but good experiences with OCZ memory. I used their ddr2 modules in both of my last computers. I had a motherboard go bad and overvolt the ram, which killed both sticks. OCZ sent me replacements without question. I'm glad they are continuing with the enthusiast ram.
I went ahead and ordered stuff. Thanks for the advice. I decided to go with the cheap G.Skill, but it sold out, so I got some slightly more expensive OCZ stuff instead.
Alright. So the 3x4 ripjaws seem like the best. Still pretty fast and I can easily get another 12 when I decide I need it. The other option is the 6x2 set of 1600 for 300. If Memory drops in price by more than 50 or 60 percent before I need more that gets me the higher clock speed and the lower...
I've thought about it and I think the ddr3 1600 is the way to go. There is a patriot 3x set for 430 that seems reasonable. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220477 That gives me a bit more upgradability and the extra 10% worth of CPU performance.
