    I had this happening to my XFX6950 1GB and it was because I had my memory OC'd too high. I think I had it at 1525mhz and I had to drop it down to 1400mhz (watercooled). BF3 is hard on the graphics card and it even gives stock overclocked 560ti troubles.

    Problem with this game is that it only uses up to 2 cores on your CPU which bottlenecks everything. The bottleneck only happens outside so I hope it's just a scripting issue.

    Using RCA to 3.5mm adapter will work just fine. There are a few games that doesn't have volume controls and but most games will have an acceptable volume. FIIOS E5 is a really good portable amp for under $20.
