TIL, Apex Legends was built using Source Engine.
Wow, I think the game looks and runs great, at least for me on at 1080p on a GTX 970. I'm really really surprised that it's Source Engine. Am I just clueless? Have the Titanfall games been Source Engine also?
I'm out of the loop. I thought LTT also lambasted Nvidia's NDA....maybe I'm wrong. Sad to see he's now their pawn, whipping boy, danger noodle....whatever you want to call it.
Exactly what I was wondering. If the Pixel 3 really did that, I find that incredibly impressive. I'm off to see my iPhone X can accomplish the same feat.
Update: Nope
Not on a 980ti, but a 970. I for one will continue to sit on this for another year (or 2?). I really want to see if AMD can answer; otherwise I'll wait for 7nm. Yeah, I can't have all the eye candy turned on anymore. Oh well...beats dropping a mortgage payment on a video card.
I bought this game last week. I can't get enough of it. I actually called in sick to work on Monday to stay home and play. I remember having really intense experiences with the original DayZ mod, but they seemed so few and far between. This game is non-stop intensity.
I love it, but I am...
I'm so glad that you keep hammering this home, Kyle. It boggles my mind how other supposedly "independent" tech blogs/journos are straight up ignoring this. Those nvidia roots must be deep.
I, too, have an nvidia card in my box (GTX 970), but I'm ready to make the jump to a full AMD rig next...
Still rocking one in my main rig. Been itching to upgrade FOREVER! Perhaps this will finally push me over the edge..........right when GPU and RAM prices are astronomical...
That is so fucked up. They are literally putting these people in danger and turning their lives upside down in doing this. Hope these asshats are caught quickly.
