it shouldn't stretch as long as you set it up properly. You'll need to rename an HDMI source on it to PC, I don't remember the exact reasoning behind this but I think it disables some post processing features allowing it to display perfectly.
I have not found this to be true. I have an AM2 machine that I built this year, had all the right drivers and such for Vista. I gave it a few weeks, needless to say I'm back on XP Pro. It has a while to go if ever for me.
