Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hi,
I am troubleshooting an audio recording app. called Cubase VST. One of the fixes suggested at the cubase forum for this specific problem was to switch your computers HAL from ACPI to Standard PC.
I changed to Standard PC via the device manager. This fixed the problem but...
Its too bad search is turned off. I would have tried that before posting, but........Why is it turned off?
Anyway, my system is up and running like a cut cat. Love this ASUS A7N8X-E!!! ;)

Thanks RuchG. Unfortunately I don't have a floppy drive. I need to get my hands on one tommorrow.
Q: What would be the file extention for the SATA driver file? There are several files in the SATA folder on my mobo CD.
Thanks for the reply Lysergia. I guess I gotta get a FDD because every time I do that it asks me tp insert a disk in drive A: The drivers are on my Mobo cd. How can I install them if it only takes a floppy?

Hi,
Can anyone point me in the direction of a expanation for:
1. How to create an emergency repair disk or emergency boot disk?
2. How to use the disk if needed?
I'm begininng to wonder if it is even needed with Win Xp because I've looked long and hard on the Microsoft Web Site...
OK you've convinced me not to be so tight with the cash and I've decided to spend a bit more and not skimp on the video OR the FDD.
I like the idea of recycling an old drive out of an old machine if I need to though, that sounds good.
Thanks for the advice everyone! :)
Thanks for the reply BlindedByScience.
Yeah I guess its not really a large chunk of cash. Maybe I should save some on a cheaper Video Card since I'm not really big on games or things that would require an outstanding graphics card.
