Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Well, I've troubleshooted to the best of my own personal knowledge, trying exuastingly to get Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1866 (4X4 GB memory modules) to actually run at spec. My platform is a Gigabyte GA-990FX-UD3 motherboard along with an AMD FX-8150 CPU. The kit is actually on the supported memory...
Agree 100%, and that's coming from an AMD chip owner myself. As what's been displayed on the web Sandy Bridge overclocks like a dream and there's nothing out what so ever on "Bulldozer" except speculation. AMD has to cover the ground of 2 intel generations now... i7 it's still behind with it's...
I read that general tasks seem to be slow along with your boot times. I'd start with a reformat and if you want a peppy boot time get a SSD. An SDD is the only thing I can recommend.
AMD Public Roadmap Updates
AMD also announced several notable updates to its 2012 roadmaps including:
"Krishna" and "Wichita": Two and four-core 28nm APUs based on the next-generation sub-one watt "Bobcat" CPU cores and a DirectX 11-capable GPU, designed for the tablet, notebook, HD netbook...
I hated that shit and I meen shit! Some say "too much power" others say "not enough". Have a game come out that some persons beloved and worshiped hardware is completely incapable of rendering well and you get endless amounts of bitching. I got into computer gaming because it escaped the...
Most likely. SC2 shows through CPU utilization that it's only optimized for 2 processing cores. That 100% utilization off one of the cores is most likely the rendering thread while the other percentage is the remainder of the program oscillating amongst the other cores. I'd state that in review...
In that case your only limitation is the money you want to spend. My opinion is that SC2 is not a graphically intense game compared to some other titles out there. There's an overwhelming amount of reviews sites on the web that bench all the current generations of cards and show their...
You stated 4v4... is that skirmish against AI or multiplayer online/LAN? All the power in the world isn't gonna save you against another opponent with a crappy computer that's happy with 20 frames per second or less. Hey! It's nice to see your not looking to bog other people down though :) When...

You max the graphics out in that game @ 2560X1600 and the 4870 512MB will fall flat on it's face.
I read you have an i7 920 @ 3.66Ghz, so your position CPU wise is pretty ample. The problem rests with 2560X1600 resolution and a 4870 512MB graphics card. Are you looking to upgrade your graphics card in general or for the game in question alone? Beside that are you looking to have the graphics...
I just spent the last 15 mintes looking over all the replies to your initial post and so on. Here's how I see it and I'm gonna lay it down for you.
So, your jumping ship and looking to take on a different company to provide you with the CPU for your computer (great! that meens you lack brand...
