I was really hoping these answers would be positive, I really want the U2711, it just looks/feels more premium than any of the glossy Korean/alternatives, I wish I could see it in person, this matte coating is scaring me.
I've been considering the u2711 as it's currently at £430 refurbished with one year warranty (no dead/stuck pixels guarenteed) which is almost double those Korean ones, but I can atleast guarentee that I'll get a quality product.
But it turns out everyone is saying the AG is absolutely...
Mithos, I'm worried the glossy will thoroughly piss me off, I've not used a glossy in a while but I am worried, also heard that those monitors aren't LED and put out a tonne of heat and eat your electricity like no-mans business, is this true?
Cheers! I might get a crossover if those turn out...
What about the HP ZR27? Someone just told me the U2711 is absolutely useless for games, even from an enjoyment standpoint, apparently the response time is so high that it's absolutely completely useless, looks like that + anti-glare issues might be a no afterall, that's a shame.
It's hard trying to gauge a decision in this thread, but the samsung 27" would be better for home use than the U2711? They seem equal in specifications.
I'm sort of wanting atleast 2560x1440, I don't see the point in spending upwards of £500 just for another 1200p monitor honestly, I wouldn't upgrade at all but the one I have is currently a lower end TN panel and I saw an IPS the other day and my jaw dropped, 2560x1440 and 27-30" (for when I...
Would you recommend anything else in that regard? The hazro does look very, very tempting, it must be matte though, can't stand reflections! And thankyou phil for the insight.
I've actually been looking at the Hazro HZ30 which is 30", 1600p, 10-bit, any ideas if Hazro are reliable? I'd hazard a guess and say Dell would be much more reliable, but these specifications are so, so tempting :D.
I have about £500 to spend on a new monitor and can't decide whether to take the risk and get a Yamakasi/Crossover/Achieva monitor or just go for a safe bet and get a U2711, although I understand that in the end I have to make a decision, it's seemingly impossible to decide.
I am leaning...
I can't decide between getting the MSI reference GTX 670 for £300 or the XFX 7950 (double D black) for £270, which would allow my budget for 16gb of RAM which I honestly don't need but
I may aswell as the Corsair dominator are on a very large sale.
670...
