Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Put the x1950 pro back in and all of the problems went away. I'd like to think I just had a bad card, so I'll probably have it replaced and try again. I'm having a hard time believing that my card was typical of Nvidia performance.
I'm using dual Westinghouse L2410nm 24" lcd displays with dvi-i to hdmi converters. Everything is running a native resolutions and Cleartype enabled. Nothing has changed except the video card and drivers.
Just upgraded my Vista system from an x1950 pro to an Nvidia 9600GT; I'm thrilled with the speed, but the text quality in applications seems to have completely fallen apart. I can't tell exactly what's happening, but instead of nice smooth text, everything is "blotchy." It's almost like the...

I have an Intel Bad Axe 2 w/ E4300, Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, and Windows Vista 32. The e4300 is moderately overclocked (2.3ghz) and I'd like to reduce the CPU fan speed (to ~1200rpm) in order to minimize noise. Right now the fan runs at a constant 34 degrees and 2140 rpm unless I...
Are you sure your CPU fan is capable of being controlled by the BIOS? IDCC works fine for me under XP, my problem is that IDCC isn't compatible with Vista.

I have a Bad Axe 2 / E4300 (stock) with a Freezer 7 Pro. The CPU fan always runs at ~2100 RPM and since IDCC doesn't run under Vista I haven't been able tweak anything. That's too bad because, as it stands now, the fan is way too loud.
I have a D975XBX2 with e4300. Anything >265 won't POST, stable as a rock at 265 w/ stock voltages.
That's E6600 performance for <$150 with no effort ... I'm happy.
The Desktop Control Center doesn't work. Intel has a Vista-compatible version in development, but doesn't have an estimated release date; I haven't tried the other apps.
Here's a list of the Vista-support apps on Intel's site.
I finally got an answer from Intel ... it's in development but there's no projected release date.
For now I wouldn't (couldn't) use this MB if you want to overclock and use Vista.
Has anyone heard anything about a Vista-compatible version of Intel's Desktop Control Center for the Bad Axe 2? I upgraded my D975XBX2 system to Vista this weekend and this, along with a few other items, doesn't seem to work.
I'd be willing to settle for another application if anyone has...
