PC wont BOOT with RTX 3080ti and HDMI to TV

Yup tried it already. Firmware is up to date according to nvidia tool. That is specifically related to Displayport blank screen. This is HDMI and not just blank screen but literally not POSTing

PC wont BOOT with RTX 3080ti and HDMI to TV

As up to date as is available from LG. I disabled hdmi-cec and it made no difference. Rolled back Asus motherboard BIOS through every version. Still won't boot when connected directly via HDMI. Gets stuck on BOOT led. Moved sn850 ssd to a chipset m.2 slot, made no difference. This really...

PC wont BOOT with RTX 3080ti and HDMI to TV

My system is UEFI boot. Doubled checked in windows system information. It boots perfectly if connected via DP or via HDMI to a standard pc monitor (regardless of CSM, secure boot, whatever, doesn't matter). What sorcery is this that it shits the bed when connected via HDMI to the LG TV though...

PC wont BOOT with RTX 3080ti and HDMI to TV

Well here's a weird development. Everything works flawlessly if I enable CSM in bios and set all the devices to UEFI only. Pc boots up connected to TV via HDMI with CSM enabled. Disable CSM, try to boot connected to TV via HDMI and I get a BOOT led error on the motherboard.

PC wont BOOT with RTX 3080ti and HDMI to TV

Wow interesting, good find! It seems that issue pertains to Displayport though. I used the Nvidia tool to update the Display ID firmware but it said my gpu is already up to date. Jay mentions, the issue could be between gpu *and* motherboard so perhaps my motherboard UEFI is somehow in conflict...

PC wont BOOT with RTX 3080ti and HDMI to TV

Finally got my hands on an RTX 3080ti at MSRP to replace my 1080ti annnd its immediately being weird. The issue: PC that previously worked fine with 1080ti, upgraded to new 3080ti will not POST if i connect it to my LG OLED TV via HDMI. If I connect to a random Dell pc monitor via the exact...

    SENTRY 3.0: Development and Suggestions

Wow guys, can't believe it's been 2 years since sentry 2.0 already. Really curious to see what you come up with for a v3. I could imagine one more pcie slot of thickness while keeping roughly the same x, y dimensions would be a good start. Though so many of these new gpu's aren't just thick, but...

SENTRY 2.0: Evolution of console-sized gaming PC case

In my experience with Sentry over the years I would say ~200w is the sweet spot. 250w at most. My GTX 1080 performed perfectly in Sentry at 180W. My 1080ti at 250W was noticeably tougher to keep cool. Not impossible. But if you want to just put a slim system together and enjoy it without...

SENTRY 2.0: Evolution of console-sized gaming PC case

Oh wow cool. I didn't know such a thing existed. I've ordered other products from J-hack with success so I can at least say in my experience they're reliable as a seller.

SENTRY 2.0: Evolution of console-sized gaming PC case

Absolutely nuts. Really amazing how much hardware you can pack into such small systems. Actually surprised this particular configuration didn't come from the likes of the Optimum Tech YouTube channel. Now let's see what AMD brings to the table with new Cpu's and Gpu's soon 👍 I'm speculating new...

SENTRY: Console-sized gaming PC case project

I have a feeling any usb powered panel is going to be pretty weak on brightness and response time. There's probably only a few panels with such a low power draw available, there's a good chance they're all using the same panel from LG, sharp, Panasonic, whoever actually makes it. I looked into...

Morzy Have you seen this monitor? Hdmi and Usb-C. Not sure if it's this particular one but I think this company also makes one with a battery built in for one less cord to worry about.

SENTRY: Console-sized gaming PC case project

Based on my experience that sounds about right. As long as you're happy with the performance, noise levels and everything then just enjoy. If you're unhappy about noise or temps or whatever you can always keep tinkering. In my experience with Nvidia gtx-10 series gpu's they just run as fast as...
