My recommendation is the eVGA NF 680i. FSB is known to oc >500MHz and the pcb is black!

yep, works. you can go sync or async, tho sync is supposed to be faster. I've tried both and not had stability issues with either.

Sorry, I've got raid on my brain right now. NV IDE drivers were a problem in the past. I don't use them either.

While NVIDIA seemed to have RAID problems with NF3 & 4. I've not had any issues with the most recent version for NF590. I really like their interface. Seems more intuitive to me then the MS version. I'm building my 680i system now and RAID is key. No issues so far with nvidia's.

I heard they've had problems getting it manufactured. Lots of distractions there these days i'd guess.

NVIDIA designed and built their own board. Uses "designed by nvidia" logo. Being sold by EVGA, BFG, etc. Asus designs and builds their own boards.
