It has the exact same vertical resolution, the only difference is that it is wider. The 25 inch 21:9 is at a *very* nice price point, and good dot pitch too. Not to mention desk space savings over the original 29 incher.

You could try a pair of GUNNAR Optics, but resting your eyes may be the best bet.

The aspect ratio is still the same as any old 1080p monitor, so your FoV won't increase.

The Viewsonic isn't remotely in the same price range...
