Humans can perceive much more than sRGB.
It has the exact same vertical resolution, the only difference is that it is wider.
The 25 inch 21:9 is at a *very* nice price point, and good dot pitch too. Not to mention desk space savings over the original 29 incher.
Except Photoshop doesn't run in Linux, so the whole 10 bit support thing is moot. People seem to forget that nothing uses it...which is why Nvidia gets away with it.
In the Catalyst control panel you have the option to let the GPU scale, with the option of scaliing to fill up the screen. I'm not terribly sure if it will wo rk with that kind of display...but it;s worth a try.

Skyrim is a piece of crap, so I don't think it counts, and Dark Souls was made in 16:9 anyhow... Everyone agrees that the PC edition was absolutely shoddy.
