I was wondering if the plastic thermal shield can be removed and low and behold you can see it right here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Fl7IVKkPt8&t=450
The board looks great without that plastic shield. I'm just trying to find a ram kit/video/power supply to match the green/black colors.
I hear you. I want a new case also (my old coolermaster elite can't handle long video cards). I replaced the blue led in it with a green one. It was fairly easy to do - all kinds of kits/colors available (example : http://www.startech.com/item/BEZELWRKIT-ATX-Case-Front-Bezel-Wire-Kit.aspx.)

As I mentioned, I am PICKY about certain things. I hate blue LEDs and some other people do also. Blue LEDs are much brighter than your average older green or red LEDs. Having an eye-piercing blue light in a darkened room when you are watching a video or playing a game is DISTRACTING.

The current deal that people are freaking out over is the Dell 2209WA LCD for $230 minus whatever coupons. It is IPS instead of TN. I don't like the way the buttons look on the right side (but I am picky about things). Everyone seems to think it is the best all-around for desktop work, gaming...

Maxtor 9/10 SATA drives have SERIOUS PROBLEMS with AMD and Intel sata controllers and chipsets. I'm getting rid of my new Maxtor 10 250gb drive because of these issues. Good riddance Maxtor - you used to be great now you are history.
Firmware updates *might* fix the problem, but I wouldn't...
Anyone using the A8V-E SE motherboard? It is a Via K8T890 board that supports AMD dual core.
I am interested in it because the Nforce4 data corruption issues are scary.
