The only real time pit in WoW is the honor system. People make WoW raiding out to be some 8 hour daily experience. I raid 2 hours a night, never on weekends, that's it. We clear BWL, don't even touch MC, and are progressing through AQ40 and Naxx. People get in bad guilds that take forever to...
Personally PvP in WoW is the reason I keep playing. I hated the game leveling up, and quit for weeks at a time becuase I hated the level grind. WoW sadly suffers from the fact that the majority of the game begins at 60. I disagree with the statement the PvP in WoW is weak, but I do agree that...
I played Final Fantasy XI long enough to get 5 classes to level 75, and can honestly say that it was not worth the time investment. Final Fantasy XI's main flaw is that it relies on the social MMO factor to progress players through the game. Anyone that has played the game for more than a few...
This is probably the best example of WoW addiction, and have found myself in the same position (thankfully I gave up on it sooner rather than later).

When you purchased the game, and read the 1 day free pass for a friend card, it even tells you to give the CD's to a friend (I really don't like this trend of having to pay $50 for some CD's and a subscription fee on top of that). Have a friend give you the CD's for the install, or just download...
Instances, and BoP gear in WoW is probaly one of the things that made me leave FFXI. Here is an example of how bad things were on FFXI. a low level item called and Emperor's Hairpin typically (on the server I was on anyhow) go for 1 - 1.7 million gil. Now, to anyone new to the game has no chance...
If you really want to get creative, and have about 10 minutes, you can transform the box in to a professional looking DVD case. I took a look at the links for DVD inserts, and not a single one was for the US release of the game (there were some German, and mostly UK covers). I simply used an...
I'm actually hoping I'll get it to where the strider will follow you and attack the combine... but that's going to take more than simple console commands.
Sorry for the long delay, but I do need to sleep sometime. :P Here are all the binds I have as of now.
//Strider Control
//
bind "x" "give npc_strider" //spawns a strider (can't be spawned on all levels)
bind "x" "ent_setname strider" //names npc_strider "strider"
bind "x" "ent_setname...
I have been messing around with the HL2 physics and whatnot lately, and it's been just as fun as playing through the game. Earlier a friend told me it was possible to fire a Strider cannon through the console, and upon digging I've been slowly adding to it. Right now, I can fire the main cannon...
Here is the deal for those people having problems with FSAA. I don't know if it's just limited to ATI cards... but if you disable horizon fog FSAA works just fine, and the black screen is gone (meaning you can use the high detail setting slider, you just have to disable horizon fog).
I had .NET installed, grabbed the service pack... still the same error. I'm probably going to end up doing a format, my windows install is a few months old as it is. (I'd like to figure out what the problem is, but I don't think it's going to happen)
I have been running the 4.9 cat's for a while now, and when the Catalyst Control Center came out, I thought I'd give it a try. I installed it using the 4.9 cat's, and the control center spit back an error. I unintalled the control center and drivers, restarted, installed the 4.8 cat's + control...
