I HIGHLY recommend buying the TV from Best Buy along with their protection plan because it covers screen burn in. I purchased a C7 LG OLED three years ago with the warranty and it indeed burned. Best Buy replaced the C7 with a brand new CX. Well worth it in my opinion.

Very much interested in what cable you are using as I am in need of once the same length. Would you mind recording it in this thread I created over on AVS? https://www.avsforum.com/threads/known-working-hdmi-2-1-cables-tested-with-lg-cx-gx-nextgen-2-1-sources-thread.3169380/#post-60152007 Thanks!

Awesome! Would you mind being the first one on the new thread to document your cable / success story? https://www.avsforum.com/threads/known-working-hdmi-2-1-cables-tested-with-lg-cx-gx-nextgen-2-1-sources-thread.3169380/

I have been going out of my mind lately trying to find a known working HDMI 2.1 cable for the LG CX & nextgen sources like the RTX 30 series so I created the below thread / database over on AVS. If you are a CX owner & have an RTX 30 series card PLEASE head over and document your working cable...

The predicate of how this this new issue is being presented is that its a combination of Gsync & 4k 120hz 4:4:4 / HDR together being the problem but re-reading the statement below from the CSR that doesn't seem to be the case at least as far as what I can tell by just the snippet of info given...

Yes! Now we just need to figure out how to get this to LG & NVIDIA's attention ASAP as I mentioned above.

Understood. For testing purposes how to you tell that the TV is converting / down sampling to the lower format? Just eyeball or is there a diagnostic mode on the TV to see what format its actually outputting?

Take a look of this video showcasing the 3080 along with a 48 CX (link takes you to 4:23 timestamp). Sorry for the noob question but what's the difference between setting the output color format to RGB vs 4:4:4 vs 4:2:2 in the NVIDA interface? Does RGB = 4:2:2? If so why present both options?

How do we even know the issue is known by LG? Does someone need to open a ticket with them or something? Would that even get proper escalation? It feels like Nvidia has a partnership / interest in the LG OLED as its the only TV certified for GSync as I understand it. They should push this up the...

My strategy when I bought the C7 three years ago paid off 2x recently. I bought it as secondary PC monitor for games / regular use also. I KNEW it would eventually burn so I purchased it at Best Buy with the 5y extended warranty. It indeed burned so I called in the warranty last month. They had...

Have any of the reviewers verified all of the 4K /120 modes on the CX and or C9 yet with HDMI 2.1?

https://www.hdmi.org/spec/hdmi2_1 "The specification does not indicate a cable length. Cable length depends on the cable manufacturer. It is likely the maximum lengths for passive cables will be approximately 2 to 3 meters."
