    DoubleSight DS-263N - 26"

Excellent- I look forward to reading the upcoming reviews. I feel an excitement similar to that when the BenQ or the Eizo 24" screens were coming out many months ago. Needless to say both of those ended on a rather controversial note. Third time's the charm?

    Dell 2408WFP Now Available

Thanks to the previous poster who demonstrated the input lag vs. CRT. I am greatly disappointed by input lag again as the problem which plagued Samsung's 244T and 245T over the past two years has not been resolved. Perhaps by the time the Dell 2420WFP comes out, we will have input lag...

    Dell 2408WFP Now Available

At present, this is looking rather good on paper. I expect hardforum members will insist on knowing the usual VITAL points of information: 1. Input Lag vs. CRT 2. Color Quality (outofbox / calibrated) 3. 1:1 pixel mapping & other resolution modes 4. Panel type and any lottery with lower...

    Crap 24 incher?

It depends: First Person Shooter: Critical. Input Lag will have a severe impact on attempting to bear on moving targets. Most affected are aspects which require leading a target. Turn Based Strategy / Real Time Strategy: Input Lag is not an issue. Flight Simulator: Moderate impact...

    LG L246W

hehe It's a stopwatch, it counts UP. The faster screen shows a higher number. Both start at 0.00.000 At the instant of camera shutter: LG outputed 3.981s worth of frames while Samsung is still at 3.949s. Had it been a countdown timer, it would have been the reverse.

    LG L246W

It may have been cleartype fonts anti-aliasing softening the edges or a camera artifact. This is also a photo of the actual pixels. (I am using HDMI / DVI)

    LG L246W

This one is virtual stopwatch pro. It's the trial version so it will stop working after 2 weeks. That's all the time I needed anyway though. Just make sure you set the timer to show 1/1000 of a second.

    LG L246W

After much consideration, I went ahead and got this L246WP at best buy this morning and have no complaints. I took this comparison image for anyone interested in Input Lag: As one can see, the L246WP is clearly superior to the Samsung 214T, a 21 inch version of the 244T that suffers...

    1600x1200 LCD for graphics/programming

This thread is quite relevant. The Samsung 214T is a reasonable alternative for programming; in addition to 1600x1200 it has a swivel for 90 degree portrait mode and is currently in the $500 range. However, ebay does have them new for less (~450). Good color reproduction for web design and...

Samsung LCD - Good of Bad?

I tend to agree with the whole 22" TN panel statement; their colors aren't comparable to PVA and viewing angles are inferior. However, their price is what makes them competitive; you can probably get 2 for the price of one larger screen. If price is not of concern, then you might consider the...

    Picked up a new Westy TX-42F430S 42" 1080p HDTV !!

Good to hear. If anything I am surprised by the price of this model. The first question that immediately comes to mind at such a price is "what's the catch?" but this one seems to cover its bases well. I will add this model to my "looks good / good priced" list which currently includes those...

    Picked up a new Westy TX-42F430S 42" 1080p HDTV !!

Very cool! Might I ask what is your opinion in regards to the speakers? Typically I haven't heard many reviews in this regard since most people focus on either the image quality or the input capabilities. Speakers are often overshadowed as a result.

    Samsung 245T when?

I also give up on the Samsung 245T. It is vaporware to me now, even if it comes out tomorrow. Moving on to the HD2451W.

Eizo releases FlexScan HD2441W, advertises proper scaling and no input lag

So true. Oddly the various descriptions seem to have this monitor (at least partially) being marketed towards gamers: A market generally not known for spending extreme prices when comparable models exist at a fraction of the cost. Is the only selling point for gamers the "no/low input...

Eizo releases FlexScan HD2441W, advertises proper scaling and no input lag

Interesting! If this model is sub-$1000 then it stands a good chance of sweeping the market for graphics pros and gamers alike. This just may be what all those BenQ FP241W fans had wanted 6 months ago. However, if it is priced around $1400 like the current Eizo models, then it's pros will be...
