    Could this be anything other than a dead board?

    I had a Toshiba Satellite notebook do the same thing, turns out the HSF had come slightly loose and either due to heat or a sensor, the board would shut off after 1 or 2 seconds. Not even enough time to post. Reseated the HSF and CPU and fired right up.
