Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
It was a straight swap this time, rather than sending for a firmware upgrade.
I had no bad pixels on my old unit and the stand was perfect as well - if you send it in for a firmware upgrade you should get the same unit back and have no further problems with the display. When I sent my monitor...
Got my exchange unit yesterday - doesnt appear to have any buzzing issues but I dont think ive had the monitor on long enough yet. Unfortunately it has 1 dead pixel left of the centre which is abit irritating and 1 stuck pixel. Have left it on today running the image from killdeadpixel to see if...
the monitor you're going to buy is 18mths old or are you saying the monitor model itself is 18mths old.
If you are buying new it shouldn't be a problem and if not better as they should have got rid of common problems and firmware software is up to date.
yeah, i called for an RMA under warranty. I was very surprised of how they dealt with it compared to my past experiences. It looks like they have changed alot of things with the warranty procedure for the better (in the UK) - just have to see if they deliver on providing me with a new monitor...
ok ive had my current monitor for a while now (after swapping them and sending them back and forth for upgrades and faults) but the buzzing noise is starting to irritate me.
Once the monitor gets hot or warm after being swithed on for a couple of hours there is a buzzing noise which sounds like...
what graphics card are you using?
Despite having an HDCP monitor, AnyDVD and meeting system requirements (other than my graphics card) I couldn't get anything to play correctly.
I ended up upgrading my ATI X800XT to an Nvidia 7900GS and it works perfectly now.

Please could you set your PS3 to 576p and try both 16:9 and 4:3 in aspect mode and 1:1, take pictures and post them up.
When i set my PS3 to 576p in 16:9 both 1:1 and aspect are screwed up. If this is the case with your monitor then I cant see wii widescreen working...
That is strange how they arranged a straight swap rather than upgrade.
Having emailed them previously about my first encounter with the upgrade process and the massive complaint I made, I would have thought they would offer me a swap rather than upgrade.
I think all the latest firmware...
i tried the 24hz on my monitor last night, albeit not the latest firmware with overscan, and it didnt work, i just got a blue screen like no signal was being detected.
Are you in the UK?
Any chance you could test other things such as 480p content and the aspect functioning working correctly, whether its 4:3 or 16:9 content it doesnt seem to display correctly.
Maybe there are some settings to let your graphics card scale to the native resolution rather than the monitor doing it? Or maybe the graphics card is scaling and it is causing a conflict with the monitors scaler.
well ive just got my monitor back, hooked it all up and everything seems to be working fine. No further problems created but nothing seems to be fixed either.
I have no option to disable overscan on any input and the detection of signals and aspect ratios is still messed up as it was before...
just had a call from BenQ regarding the completion of the upgrade and delivery of my monitor back, so hopefully will have it back tomorrow and everything will be sorted.
Will post back tomorrow.
the March firmware was the 1st firmware in the UK made available which was supposed to address the 1:1 and aspect issues, but all it did really was enable you to select the various modes 1:1, aspect and fill which still have problems especially with 4:3 content and the overscan issue.
The most...
The update did fix some issues with 1:1 but it is still not right and there is supposed to be a 2nd firmware upgrade out which hopefully fixes these issues and allows overscan to be swtiched on/off.
My monitor was collected yesterday so only time will tell whether its true.
