Never, once you start botching your own and you get exactly what you want you will laugh at 3 digit case prices. Sometimes I tried to get away with cheapest 20$ case for a customer but often the metal is too thin and it's so narrow you will never be able to close the lid with modern hardware...- DIYmaster
