HP LP2475w (Possible new IPS)
I got this monitor today, and it seems mostly perfect. The only issues it has is 1 green stuck pixel, and a few tiny 'dirt specks' here and there, but they aren't noticeable during normal use unless it's mostly a white background. Oh, and the PIP/POP button seems to be stuck out and it can't... -

HP LP2475W ... last year's tech or still awesome?
Coming from a CRT, I'd say IPS is worth the premium, or you'd just feel like LCD is a downgrade from CRT. Colors and clarity aside, the biggest annoyance on a TN panel to me are the viewing angles. Even right in front of the monitor staring at it head on, the top of the screen is darker... -

No, but I can't find one that isn't close to $800 shipped, and I want to see what alternatives there are. I ordered the 24" HP LP2475, let's hope I don't get any of these issues like the green/pink thing. *nervous* -

I moved it from one desk to another and must have put too much pressure against the edge of it, and it cracked :( Now I can't find a good replacement. Don't S-IPS or AS-IPS monitors exist anymore? Better yet, glossy ones? With that Planar H-IPS, the pixels did weird stuff with my eyes, like... -

Planar PX2611W 26"
I just got my Planar today, and aside from 1 stuck pixel, it's an amazing monitor! I've been checking out all my games just to see how great they look. :) Much better than the 8 year old 21" CRT I replaced. -

Well, I just ordered one of these from Provantage. It looks like a nice upgrade to my 10 year old dying 21" Trinitron. One thing I haven't found out by searching around is, does this monitor include a DVI-D cable in the box? -
