Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm running Windows 2000, and when I turn off my 2405 using its power button, Windows gives me a nastygram telling me I've disconnected a USB device without stopping it first.
Is it hurting anything to turn it off this way?
Somebody posted a link to a monitor test but I can't seem to find it. Just got my new 2405FPW and I'd like to see how it does in the test. Can anyone repost that link?
Thanks a lot. :)
I'll bet a lot of customers aren't as picky as the rest of us and overlook a dead pixel or two. Heck, some may not even see them!
I'm crossing my fingers that my 2405 comes with all pixels intact. I'm glad Dell has the 21-day policy, but still--it's a hassle to have to deal with returns.
Interesting...
Check this out. Dell has the 7500-800 model, which is supposed to hold 5-21 pounds (the 2405 is 22 pounds, but that probably includes the stand)...
With a 24" screen on my desk, the only reason I'd get a second monitor is to check Web page displays on a smaller screen (I'm a developer). And in that case, I'd pick up a 15" monitor and run it at 800x600 resolution.
Two 20" screens--man, that's a lot of desk area, even for a flat panel...
I talked to Brad last night. He wouldn't honor that coupon code, because he said it was for the Home side of the business, and at $860, the price on the monitor was too low for further discounts.
Somebody at Dell apparently screwed up by giving Cr@zzy the discount, but hey--at least one of...
This may seem like a silly question, but how tall are each of these monitors when lowered fully?
I have a small office and often work across my desk from someone. It'd be nice to be able to see over the monitor, which I sure can't do with my 21" CRT boat anchor.
Also, if you own either of...
Anyone know of any great deals on the 2005FPW right now? Best I can find is 15% and free shipping on the Dell site. Needs to be better than that!
Coupons, anyone?
Thx
Well, I broke down and took the box in to a repair shop. The capacitors looked OK to the naked eye, but we'll see what they say after diagnosing the issue.
If I have to replace the motherboard, I'll upgrade in the process. What would you guys recommend in terms of motherboard/processor/RAM...
