Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have a couple of raspberry pi's that I power using a PoE injector (802.3af) and then a splitter (TP-LINK TL-POE10R). Unfortunately, the RPI's aren't the most reliable things on earth, and neither is the software that's running on them.
I'm looking for a 4+ port PoE switch that has a...
Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna go the route of building a small "room/rack/shelf" on a small concrete pad, seal that off and put one fan and some venting pulling in air from the office, and another fan with venting pushing it outside. Fortunately I've got most of the materials to do that...
Thanks for the input guys. Yes, I do mean crawlspace. Vapor barrier and insulation is in between the joists, and there is some plastic sheeting over 30% of the dirt area. I live in the Okanagan valley.
Red Squirrel I like your idea of pouring concrete and making a mini room, have the perfect...
I've got three servers that I'd kinda like to move in to my basement. 2x Poweredge 2950 (ESX) and a Supermicro Tower (NAS/Homeserver). They're loud and know how to keep a room warm. They're sitting in my office right now.
I live in Canada in a condo on a lake, bottom of the basement would be...
I live in Canada, and shipping from Jabtech for everything is gonna be $46.75 extra.
I've ordered most of my rig from NCIX.com, and they seem to have a good selection of water cooling components. They don't however have any of the XSPC rads available, is the Swiftech MCR320 and MCR220 good...
Would spending another $100 on the components be worth the extra cash? I don't want to go with cheaper parts and risk my whole rig just to save some extra cash.
So I'm building a new rig, have never done water cooling before and would like to give it a shot.
The case that I want to put everything in is the Corsair 800D.
Parts list:
- i7 930
- Gigabyte X58A-UD5
- 6 x 2GB OCZ DDR3 1600 7-7-7 RAM
- GTX 480 (when its available)
- Antec TP-750 PSU
