Dell won't just replace the stand. They will only replace the whole unit. This is a judgement call. The 2405 has a 3 year warranty if purchased without a system. For some reason when purchased alone they do not have a service tag. If you need service you have to call with your order number. I bought my 2405 in June of 2005. I never had a problem with it.

Thanks again. I think you are right about the memory. The corruption started now with the new drivers. This computer is four years and i think it needs to be replaced. Since I don't want to get a new one for a few months (waiting for Vista). I'll replace the video card.

Thank you. Just an update. If I go back to the old driver the errors go away but the screen corruption comes back. Installed the new drivers a second time and same problems.

ATI 9700 PRO with the 2405 FPW, connected through the DVI port. I have never had a problem. I plan to hook-up my 1900FP to the analog port since the 9700 supports dual monitors at separate resolutions.

I made that point a while back. It's really not a problem for me since I view it straight on. It becomes a problem if others to the sides of you are also viewing.
