Beats Electronics Is Breaking Up with Monster

You are absolutely correct. Hype and Trend sells and thats the bottom line. People will buy anything that's cool. Majority of our buyers these days are impulse buyers. They buy whats cool and could careless about specs. Apple is definitely good at marketing and creating Hype for their devices...

    Intel i5 2500k @ 4.8Ghz on Air

Did the LLC solve your idle BSOD issue?

    Intel i5 2500k @ 4.8Ghz on Air

*Correction* Asus implemented LLC in such that it really doesn't harm your CPU. Yes, that article is about dated and most of the concerns are with the older CPU. My LLC spike is no more than 1.344.

    Intel i5 2500k @ 4.8Ghz on Air

I've read a few article about this. LLC is good if you are trying for higher OC. It helps keep a constant voltage on load going down to idle. This doesn't mean that it will keep your vcore running at say 1.4 all the time. It just prevents your vcore from dropping to the point where you BSOD...

    Intel i5 2500k @ 4.8Ghz on Air

This cold bug had me stomped for days, but yes increasing the LLC to High should compensate for any sudden drop of voltage.

    Intel i5 2500k @ 4.8Ghz on Air

We can both agree to disagree on this. Stability can be many things, but if you can run everything you do in a daily basis with out a problem. IMO that's stable. We never really stress our CPU at a full 100% load unless your are folding for hours and days. Surely everyone has their definition of...

    2600k @ 5ghz, possible with H60?

I believe the revision D2 chips can reach 5ghz quite easily. Currently I'm running my i5 2500k on Air at 4.8Ghz 1.340v. I get a Load temp of 68c and I idle at 32c. Here's my thread http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1636547 if you need to get an idea how to configure your bios.

    Intel i5 2500k @ 4.8Ghz on Air

True indeed, the Cold Bug is a good example of this. I was able to OCCT and Prime 95 for 5 hours with no issue, but I BSOD'ed browsing the web and listening to the music a couple of times. My new bios settings should compensate the sudden drop of voltage. Stability is also user specific, if I...

    Intel i5 2500k @ 4.8Ghz on Air

I decided to create a new thread for this conversation. Next step would be running Prime 95 for 3 hours so I can safely say its 100% stable for my daily use. Also I have days of testing to do to see if the Idle BSOD *Cold bug* is inherited in my current bios config. Uploaded...

Intel i5 2500K @ 4.5ghz - Strange BSOD on Light load or Idle

No, I'm using speed step so it will only scale to 1.34v if needed. The great thing about this setup is you are not running 4.8Ghz all the time. It will only scale to 4.8Ghz when need be.

Intel i5 2500K @ 4.5ghz - Strange BSOD on Light load or Idle

Decided to skip 4.5Ghz entirely and did some research on 4.8Ghz. I was able to run Prime95 In Place Large FFT for 1 hour @ 4.8Ghz using the following settings. I hope this can be some sort of a guide if you are venturing past 4.5Ghz. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Intel i5 2500K @ 4.5ghz - Strange BSOD on Light load or Idle

Please reply all questions on this topic here http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?p=1037756248#post1037756248 Strangely I can run OCCT and Prime for 5 hours with out any errors, but when I'm browsing the web or listening to music I'd get random BSOD. It happened twice these past week and I'm...

Cooler master Hyper 212 air cooling?!?!??!

I'm using CM 212+ Push/Pull, you can't really beat it for the price/perfomance.

    Corsair H100 upgrade.

I feel the same way, taking out the CPU heatsink can improve the overall temp inside the case. I wonder if there's a negative impact on using 200mm to pull and two 120mm to push?
