I don't have any AS5 so I wasn't planning on removing the processor/heatsink, but should I do it anyway just to check it out? not sure what a TIM is, but I'm pretty sure I removed everytihng except the blue tape stuff on the heatsink itself bc I thought that was the compound that spreads...

I don't notice any difference. Money wasted? Should I reinstall drivers bc I changed power supplies?

yes that is my power supply srgess, now I'm realizing it's quite old, it needs a replacement, I suppose the coolmax I got is bum, I'll get a new antec as those serve very well for me before.
