Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hi,
I've been using snapshots to install my exchange server - e.g. test an install - then roll back and test another one.
Now I have it setup sweetly - e.g. all the settings and items I need.
Do I need to consolidate the othersnapshots or just delete them?
here is where I'm at...
So I was planning to get this processor: (CORRECTION it's an i7!)

Currently have an e5 2620 xeon
Hi,
planning to get a new esxi box for my home lab.
Currently I have an Xeon server and planning to get an i5 to play around with HA etc.
Just wondering how the VMs deal with the change of CPU?
Reason I ask is the VM is aware of the CPU it's running on so what happens when it starts...
Okay no idea what is happening here...
I connected with my old VPN (server 2008r2 insecure VPN) and then connected back with the new one...
it suddenly picked up the domain and is now all working.
This open VPN is flaky as best :(
right I got no idea what is happening here....
So today I am here in the office with the VPN connected.
However now it's telling me it an "unknown network" and I cannot access any of my LAN resources.
It connects up fine just doesn't pass any traffic through!?
What could have happened...no...
Thanks yea I got it working now properly :)
I think I hadn't setup the right rules to allow traffic from Open VPN to the WAN etc etc.
Also I checked that box and it's working a treat now.
Thanks!
Right update to this!
I HAVE GOT IT WORKING!
however...
The VPN is not used for any internet communication's and just for access to the LAN?
I'd quite like for all my traffic to go through the VPN and then to where ever it needs to go.
Any ideas on this?
Thanks for the feedback boys.
in the end I forced a reboot of the server and once it was back up I checked for updates again.
It had installed the 1st 3 but failed the rest.
So I kicked them off again and it's reporting that all is well.
Thanks:)
Hey all,
for some reason my Domain controller (server 2008r2) is struggling with an update today!
For about 2 hours now it's been hanging on installing update 4 of 10 while my other servers (same OS running exchange, file server and backup server) all installed their updates fine!
Any...
Further to this...
I downloaded the latest ESXI version from the vmware site...turns out I am about 5 updates behind!??
what is the best procedure to update?
Thanks for that but to be honest I can only see data from 2009 and before.
Plus they were testing with only DDR2 ram and not DDR3.
And looking at those stats right there I'd say I'm okay at the moment.
