    AMD Radeon R9 290 Video Card Review @ [H]

First off, I can get an EK block ranging from 105 - 118 at Performance PCS so that's way off. Second of all, even if I went Nvidia I would still put it under water so there is no negation of AMD's price advantage. You can say that their fan solution isn't as well-engineered, but I think as...

Microsoft working on bringing low level API from Xbone to windows

You're not be going to be able to get away from the fact that it is AMD hardware and it's not Microsoft who is designing the games. If developers are going to optimize the games for the consoles, it is going to have to be written for the hardware and the architecture that is there which is AMD...

Fear not, OpenGL will get Mantle like love from AMD as well

There's no reason that Intel's and Nvidia's performance would go down, as they are still going to have DirectX & OpenGL as they do now and I fully expect the developers to support at least one of them (they aren't going to cut off part of their market). Yes, I expect AMD's performance to go up...

AMD Hawaii-based graphics cards to mass ship in October

Yeah, I still think it is a fail. We're not talking about mid-range cards or lower end cards. These cards are already seriously in the minority. Price is one of the reasons I go with AMD, but I don't want to buy a card that is slower than something that has already been out for six months or so...

AMD Hawaii-based graphics cards to mass ship in October

If these cards are only as fast as the 780, I am going to be extremely disappointed and would have to consider it a fail (and I don't think an increase or 5 - 10% is going to cut it either). About the only people who would buy this are the ones who are AMD fanboys (I'm one of them) or those who...

    7990 first shots fired.

No, overpriced when compared to a 680 or a 7970. The Titan in comparison shouldn't be going for more than 750-800. And yes, I get how economics work having had several classes in them. Still doesn't change the fact people are getting screwed over on the price, but if they are willing to pay it...

    7990 first shots fired.

That's not a really good way to look at it; a better way is to recognize that the 17 frames represents an increase of 42.5% which at least in my book is dominating. As far as the possible micro stutter, run Radeon Pro and see what you have at that point.

    7990 first shots fired.

Won't disagree with possible frame or micro-stutter issues, but judging by the graph on hardware info it blows the Titan out of the water on Battlefield 3 so it's a little more than slightly.

    7990 first shots fired.

What's not to get; they are comparing a thousand dollar card against another thousand dollar card. The Titan is without a doubt the best single card on the market, but it is greatly overpriced.

Tomb Raider Video Card Performance and IQ Review @ [H]

Absolutely useless, sorry to hear you think that way. As for myself, I like it as well as any other improvements that bring more realism to the graphics. If we aren't going to keep pushing forward then we might as well just ditch pc gaming and move back to a console. In the future, when people...

    7970 Audio Stutter

It's not just the areas I mentioned, but also windows default sounds and test tones in the sound applet in CP. However, I think I may have found a work-around to the problem. I haven't totally tested it out, but I've started opening up TMT and starting a movie. I let it play for a few seconds...

    7970 Audio Stutter

I've got this ongoing problem with the audio stuttering (or at least that's what I would call it). It didn't always have this issue, didn't turn up until maybe two or three months ago. And it's kind of a weird problem, I don't have any difficulties with Total Media Theatre (TMT) or gaming (the...

New AMD Cat 12.7 Beta "JUNE 12" Drivers

I'm not sure what you mean by browser, the only one I know of is my web browser. If this is what you mean, why would I need to uninstall it? The only flash player I have is Adobe which can be uninstalled but not accessed (appears to only run behind the scene), and only because I had to have it...

PSA: Why you should NEVER even consider purchasing a HIS brand video card.

Actually, you might not have a problem with your return. In the past, I can't remember if it was FedEx or not, I had a tracking number that was shown as in the process of being delivered elsewhere. Now, I'm the kind of person that will track a package all the way, sometimes checking two or three...

    Fan Control Issue

I've never used a fan controller before, so I'm not sure of how to make the proper connections so that I'm able to read the rpm's. I have the Zalman MFC1 5 fan controller on it's way (should arrive tomorrow). It has (4) 3 pin fan connectors, and 1 pwm connector. I know that it has to make a...
