Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Straight on. In the end I left a deposit on the BenQ today. If it gives me trouble, I'll try repairing it the first time. The second time, I'll swap it with another monitor. I'll let you know how it goes.
The reason I actually stopped using windows 8 is not because after a couple of hours it starts slowing down like hell on EVERYTHING. I mean - 2 hours of playing BF3 and it's fine - then I see hard disk spinning like hell, and ram at FULL usage (I have 8gb bdw, never this problem with win7) and...
Hmm.......
Even though it's supposedly running at 75hz, PixPerAn shows 60 fps at the top right.
Anything to that? Shouldn't I be seeing 75fps?
Also, what's with the "frames lost" thing?
Hmm that LG W2363D looks good but it was released in May 2010, almost three years old. I'm not sure if they still make them, not in stock anywhere so I'll have to stay phoning up stores to check if they can order it. If it's really worth it, I'll check. It better be cheaper than the BenQ though...
Here's mine.
I'm pretty sure there's many ways it could improve. I need to mention that I worked for 3 months in summer programming as a freelancer - but apart from that I still think it's missing something.
You know, the best thing possible for the eyes is something with e-Ink (just talking about programming only here :P)
I do 8-9 hours of programming per day - 40 hour week.
I've always wondered why they don't sell large e-Ink monitors with relatively higher speeds than a kindle. Hell, 100ms would...
Wow, ghosting is quite worse I think. Also, I can't notice much of an improvement if I move my cursor around in circular motion for instance. But, granted - 60hz to 75hz isn't that much of a jump at all. Glad I did this because I was considering a cheaper 75hz monitor vs a 120hz one.
Add me to the list.
Here's to my €100, 21.5" AOC monitor running at 75Hz. At 76Hz it shows a weird picture and cursor starts lagging. Beyond that, it just says "No input".
My model is: AOC e2241vwa
Now... guys - will it blow up if I leave it like this for prolonged use?
By the way...
Is it possible to buy a filter to make a monitor matte?
I've seen quite a number of people claiming this while researching on the net, but they never say "what" filter. Like this guy: http://www.tech-forums.net/forums/f78/glossy-matte-monitor-gaming-250852/#post1931188
My friends have...
Just what I was looking for! At worst, the prices on the other BenQ will go down :)
Don't need a 27", I will have a secondary monitor... no space on my desk and moreover, quite a bit out of budget. Around €520 here, a bit too expensive to justify.
The samsung 700D looks really appealing...
