A corsair H150i Pro RGB, i thought for sure it would be good enough for the 3900x to run at stock speeds. I really do not understand how it can not be. Sure i can set the thermal throttle limit higher but it just going to throttle again.
Maybe my AIO is crap.
What liquid cooler is better than a 360mm? As far as I know there is nothing larger.
shouldn’t a 360 aio be able to run a 3900X at full load for hours?
I have the h150i pro and it covers the entire cpu heat sink, I can tell by footprint in the thermal past as I have already tried resetting it.
I was going by the cpu package temp but regardless it can only run prime95 for 10-20 min at its full speed.
that is on a 360mm aio with 3 fans spinning at max rpm in a open case.
I haven’t seen a setting like that in the bios. I can touch the VRM they are not hot. I even put a fan blowing on that area to see what would happen.
I tried a re-install of Windows and downloaded all the drivers needed and I get the same results. I even reset the bios to its defaults and it...
At this point I will try anything I’m using a 360mm cooler but I think this issue is software or a bios setting. The system runs fine and is stable.
I’m using the newest chipset driver, bios and drivers that asus has.
This is my first AMD build so I’m not sure what to think.
I’m using hwmonitor and ryzen master.
Any ideas on why it would be throttled at 70c? Would it have anything to do with the amd power plan?
I’m out of ideas.
My 3900x is at stock speeds but once it hits 158F at 100 percent load it cuts back to 2.6GHz to 60-70 percent cpu load until the temp drops by around 30F then returns back to 100 percent load at stock speed.
Is there a hidden setting for this? From what I have read it should not be Reducing...
I broke down and bought a evga rtx 2080, i used to use fraps but now in all the benchmarks i see FPS, CPU and mem usage overlay.
What software is that from?
Thanks in advanced!
actually i have a PS4 Pro and a One X already and a nintendo switch games from a switch look bad on a TV you should see wolfenstein on it!! It's bad!!. The PS4 Pro fan is loud so i go for the xbox more often. I paid under $370 for the One X brand new months ago. I never buy games or consoles...
