Completely agree. But they're a good company. I had already ordered a pair of SR60s when I needed to cancel after I was able to get a much better deal through a friend who works for PSB/NAD for some SR80s. I would be pissed for paying almost double if I had, and now that I know the price...- david121

After 2 weeks of listening to my SR80s I've found that they are killer painful. The pads aren't the issue, in fact, they've been breaking in (still not 100%, but I can listen for about 2 hours before having to take a break.) Hmm... yeah, it's hard to tell what the source level is at considering it's a shuffle, but I don't want to max it or even push it much considering distortion and battery wasteage. With my sound card I keep it at a similar level with source at around 60-80%. Did you think it was just...- david121

Well I decided I might as well go for it, and I'm happy with the result. I did notice that people singing 's' sounds are EXTREMELY annoying and distorted! So weird, hopefully it goes away with burn in. edit: Only happens if they scream it... heh... Oh, and it's also a lot smaller than it...- david121

I went over to my friends earlier today. He has an external creative card -- but I don't know which, something a little older. Through his stereo's amp there was greater punctuation, certainly at higher volumes (I guess this was all assumed). His two systems over all created pretty high noise...- david121

Of course it's adequate. I haven't heard anything better to date -- but I'm always willing to make improvements.
