Memory upgrade in a 13" MB Pro

:( Thanks, I thought that would be the case. Will I still notice a speed boost compared to the stock RAM? What kind of performance increase would 2x4GB sticks give? You think it's worth the money?

    Good PSU for an 8800GTS

Ah I didn't even read the spec on the review. That was just the first google hit when I searched the supply so I can have something to show you guys. I looked at the specs on the manufacturer's website and it shows lower current ratings for two 12-volt lines...

    Good PSU for an 8800GTS

I've never really put much effort into looking for a power supply. I just went for what looked like a good deal (example, this one was free after rebate). Can you guys suggest some good PSUs for me? Don't worry about price, just throw out whatever you can think of.

    Good PSU for an 8800GTS

What's the worst that could happen if I'm playing a game on full graphics settings? The computer will only be accessing one hard drive. How much power will the other drives use when idle?

    Good PSU for an 8800GTS

I'm sorry, I think i misread the box. I think the 400W is a minimum requirement for the power supply overall. Some of you have told me not to run too many hard drives and fans. I currently have 4 drives hooked up and I'll have 6 once I figure out how to use the other SATA slots on my...

    Good PSU for an 8800GTS

My 8800GTS just arrived and I have some concerns about my power supply. I'm using this power supply at the moment http://www.bigbruin.com/reviews05/ultraxfinity/index.php?file=1 The video card wants 400W (the psu can easily supply that, no?) and 26A on the 12V rail. My power supply can only...

    Safe temps?

What is a safe temperature for hard drives? I have 4 drives running and their temps are 35, 39, 39 and 44 C. Is that too hot? As you can see, I'm limited in space so where could I put a fan to keep these guys cool? Also notice the hard drives aren't plugged in in that picture so think that + a...

Just intstalled Thermaltake Big Water, need help

That's a nice setup. Is it noisy with all those fans you have running? Also I'm cooling an X2 3800+, an Asus X800XL and a N-Force 4 chipset. Think I'll be able to overclock much? I guess I'll have to monitor the temps to see if the pump is cutting it.

Just intstalled Thermaltake Big Water, need help

I have the Big Water SE which is a 12cm kit but what do you mean by smaller diameter kits? This kit came with connectors of two sizes and I had to use the smaller ones to fit the supplied tubing.

Just intstalled Thermaltake Big Water, need help

Nah, it's cool. I made sure all the connections were as solid as I could get them but if a part wants to fail I guess I can't do much about it. Another quick question .. I have the radiator mounted outside the case on the back with the fan pulling air out of the case. I have 6 HDDs installed...

Just intstalled Thermaltake Big Water, need help

Thanks ;) Hmm, very ominous ... can you elaborate some more? I looked up reviews and this seemed like a good entry system for the price .. I took my time installing it and I'm pretty sure I did it right so I don't forsee any problems. Tell me why Thermaltake kits are asking for trouble so...
