    Don't worry, I certainly won't be lapping it! I replaced the slower pull and exhaust fans with Cooler Master Excaliburs and used the slower fans for intake and now I see a max core temperature of 80C! I also tried to tidy the cables a little:

    Given that I'm doing some high performance computing and maybe some video encoding, the extra cores (4 vs 6) I think that I may well get quite a lot of improvement with the 970 over the 930. As for the 470's, I agree!
