    One day, I accidentlly chipped that off while I was taking it out (oops :/). So I am just wondering what should I replace it with. Also, can I make it more stable by useing a higher value cap?

    slk-900u weight on socket :S?

    Use the 4 holes to mount that heat sink if you can. I'd be worried with that heatsink on the socket alone, not to say the weight of those fans are very heavy indeed. Also, remove the heatsink during transportation if you can, the rattles etc. would sure do something to those heavyweights.
