    While this is true, the EMP emmitted is not primarily the reason for the shaking/poping etc. As said, the shaking/noise/poping happens before the phone rings/vibrates. The signal input/output is increased when you have a call, thereby creating interference with nearby electronic equipment.

    Are you kidding? SLI'd GTX's and you can't run COD2 at 1280x1024 with AA?? There's gotta be something wrong with your setup. I got a eVGA 7800GT running stock (445/1070) and it runs COD2 fine at 1280x1024 with 4x AA and 16x AF. When I say fine, I mean the fps is usually 40-50fps. CPU is a 3000+...

    Should I go 21" or 24" widescreen?

    No they wont....I can run COD2 @ 1920x1200 on my 24" sony ws CRT with a 7800GT 460/1200 and it doesnt run super smooth, but its definitely playable. 2x AA. I'm sure dual GTX's would run it just fine....
