I was planning to have the capture rig be Linux, then Windows for the Processing machine. But really agnostic for where it goes after capture.
Considering maybe the system writes directly to a USB4 drive, yeah.
Basler Machine vision cameras: https://www.baslerweb.com/en-us/shop/daa1280-54um-no-mount/
No on-board data, streaming directly to capture machine. I WAS going to go with networked cameras...but I have seen a crazy deal for these cameras (normally 260ish before accessories) at 80$ each on...
Basically I'm trying to make a DIY 4DGS gaussian splatting rig out of 16-32 cameras, and streaming from all of them the data could be in the TBs. Instead of processing on that capture rig I'd look into processing on a different machine, so portability of the data is of interest. Basically...
I've gotten very used to being ~2' from my 42" 4k screen. The corners are a little awkward, yes, but that's why i'm considering extra monitors that I can angle towards me.
I currently use an LG C2 as my productivity/video editing/coding station. Haven't gamed since we had a kid really. With all the video editing, making sure Premiere's windows don't feel cramped is a priority. I was considering going for the Dell 52" 6k monitor, but now I'm considering a triple...

Space is a little tight right now, can't do 2 40"s side by side so that would have to be one on top of the other. Though I appreciate the option I hadn't thought of to just get both LOL
I got the LG C2 because I wanted to see just how cool OLED was, and it was a very hyped TV of the time. I did some gaming, I played God of war on it, but now that I have a baby I don't really game anymore and I use it is my daily productivity driver for video production and coding.
I have some...
I sit about 30" away from a 40" LG C2. I suppose I'm a bit of an oddball. I wouldn't tolerate anything but 100%...100% is the point! I want the UI real estate!
I do end up centering a lot of windows if I'm reading or what not, and it can be annoying for something to be in the corners. But...
Is this for an eye issue? Can't imagine why you'd want this otherwise; you can change the PPD with either size of the screen or distance from it. Heck, a VR headset.
My review so far after previously had a JU6500 40" Samsung TV since 2015:
Color/Contrast obviously leaps and bounds better.
120FPS very fun. Haven't gamed on it yet, mostly video edited. Excited to try some color grading in my future. Might rent a colorimeter.
The OLED makes the...
Just started fiddling around with the service remote and I've already clicked a button which I didn't know what it did; the INSTOP button apparently does a factory reset which is in itself relatively harmless but apparently resets the hours on time and could void a warranty.
But otherwise it...
