Well, I have both a first and second batch cooler. For my first edition I can glimse light through 3 of the heatpipes. Second batch cooler does not have this problem.
I also was somewhat surprised by the new color. Don't mind though.
I also ordered mine from Overclockers UK. Not installed it yet. Returning it will most likely cost almost as much as ordering a new one.
But isn't Overclockers UK owned by the same group as Caseking. How come they don't have the same info? Hopefully, this will get sorted, and they also will...
I believe this should be the Meltdown / Spectre BIOS fix. Not sure they would released an update otherwise?
But I am kind of locked into the two PCIe slots right now.
Seems like there are some slight incompatibilities between the BeQuiet AM4 kit back-plate and this ITX board. I think I need to grind down the 2-3mm edges to prevent it from overlapping some components on the back. Not ideal, but I will hopefully make it work.
I like the look of the M-design. It is recognizable as a Ncase, as well as being sleek and stylish.
I would easily replace one or two of my current m-ATX cases if the design turns out similar to this.
Some questions though...
Did you consider other holes patterns? I am no expert, but even...
Sweet! How long approx. will it take before you have them in hand, and can prepare to test thermal performance?
Do you have any plans for how to evaluate them?
I still to be seen how team green and red have balanced the gain from node shrink into performance or efficiency. There is promise of competition in discrete GPU market, and with VR and 4K, they should still have reasons to focus on top performance.
In any case, low power and/or SFF variants...
Mine is currently only hanging from the screws in the rear.
You might fabricate something to hold the riser pcb in place. (Also shown some hundres pages back...)
V1 cases has a solid plate down below, which should allow riser pcb to be mounted on spacers, drilled and tapped into it.

What I struggle to find is a good looking case m-ATX with 5 card slots, good esthetics and solid ventilation.
What drew my to buy two M1 was that they look darn good, while being extremely practical.
Personally, I do prefer air cooling. I have been using SLI for a while to do 1440p at decent...
They are not pin compatible, so that won't work.
Search the forum, I believe someone posted the pin-out here before. *And I failed to find them, meaning either my search-fu is low, or my memory is shot... *
Based on my own experience, I would say the reason I favor the C14 in my old build, is down to the fact that you can use the default fan bracket included with the M1, blowing down on the cooler.
(I don't use the bottom fan placement.)
Having two fans blowing into the case, causes over pressure...
