Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Unfortunately my Define XL Black Pearl arrived broken. Some of the slots in the front air vents have been snapped and a few plastic bolts that hold the front of the case onto the main case snapped off too. I had to return the case and i'm waiting for another to come along.
I don't know what...
I got my Fractal Design Define XL Black Pearl today. Unfortunately I wont be able to use it 'till April, as that's when the rest of the planned parts are being bought!
Does anyone have an experience with the Fractal Design Define XL Black Pearl's top diagonal 180mm fan fitting against CPU fans badly?
I'm not sure, but it looks like the space might be tight. Worst case I can take the fan out, but it's a nice (and odd) feature to have in a case, and I would...
Well that seems like a lot of effort for a minimal payoff, I mean the pattern looks good, providing the rest of the room was designed to fit in with it (which you can tell it isn't, example A. Window frame!).
It sounds to me like you may just have yourself a little project on your hands...
Jesus Christ. I hope this is the only major problem you run into with the new build, (because after all, the little problems are the best :D).
And yes, more pictures! At least Frank holds up to his reputation of coming back alive!
I was talking to a few friends, and they advised that if possible, for terms of future-proofing (as much of a setup for failure that is), a 670 maybe better if I can stretch to the price of an extra £50-or-so. And I'm taking that into consideration a lot too.
At the moment, it's a choice...
Yeah, that's noted. I PLAN to get two cards, in the far away future, to help with the dual-monitor issue, but I mean to be honest, the dual screen will probably be Guild Wars 2 in one screen, and you tube in another, or facebook in the other, i'm not going to be doing anything too heavy for my...
Yeah, I wasn't completely sure on that either, but I felt like people should know about the plan, just in case that would effect it at all, as the monitors will probably be used for something like 1080p video on one side and gaming on the other.
But that's good to know, thanks, anymore input is...
Hello all,
I'm current in the midst of planning a massive PC upgrade. I've already gone ahead with the i7 3770k core, it maybe a little outdated but i'm hearing that the newer X79 boards can have a little issue, and i've had and used the 1155 boards and the 3770k before, so thats my choice...
I followed franks last update quite thoroughly, so I'm quite excited for the new upgrade! I've been one hell of a lurker on this forums for a while now, but hopefully this will pull me out of that funk. Can't wait!
Interesting. I actually played the GW2 beta's on balanced settings, and im runing a very old, slightly tempermental Geforce 220 GT. The game runs fine for me really, apart from like others have said, at massive city-scapes.
I would agree with most people here, anything "over" a 7950 or such...
