hardwaresecrets have reviewed only the 750W model
The 900W failed in the [H] review because the power supply activated a shutdown trigger when temperature exceeded 40C. This was explained by Antec's rep in the official thread about the review. [H] methodology is to test PSUs at higher...
I liked the Antec brand more before they came up with the "Believe it." thingy. It makes me want to avoid all their products. "Believe it" sounds insulting, as if potential customers were just sheep who can't make buying decisions based on reasoning and facts.
Thanks for replying.
That looks pretty good - I just have to buy a case for the drive and connect the case to my laptop? Great :)
I suppose I'll look for a laptop with firewire support then. Or eSATA, if I can find one at a reasonable price. I've only found one, Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Xi...
Hello,
Is it possible to use a normal internal SATA hard drive as an external drive connected to a laptop? I intend to buy a laptop in some time, and I'd like to know whether I have to buy a real external drive for storage or not. In my current desktop I have a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 SATA...
Hi.
I'm trying to overclock my 64 3500+. I decided to try to use a 5:4 FSB:Memory ratio, as it seemed easy for a newcomer like me.
I can set "Memory Index Value" or something like that between 266MHz, 333MHz, 400MHz (my default) etc. If I set it to 333MHz, it's a 5:4 ratio, so I should...
No, I mean I had ATiTool running for 8 hours while I was in school. It was doing that "find max core", and I had already set that mem to what I said it is, as I had found it to be stable. It was 51C while it was doing that, and had been for a long time I guess.
But here's something: I just...
Hey I've been trying to overclock my gto2 that has a R480 core. It's supposed to overclock very well even with the normal cooler.
Right now I got it to 437 core and 537 ram, which isn't even nearly what it's supposed to oc to.
So tell me, do I have to change the voltage somehow, and if...
Yeah, I have a R480 core, and I understand that that's what every X800 GTO2 card has.
What do you mean by 3DMark05 link? I do have a score in the ORB but it's not an OC'd score. Though I just ran 3DMark05, I didn't send the score to my futuremark profile.
The score without any overclock...
Hey again.
I managed to overclock the gto2 to a stable 437/537, which is 37/47 more than the default frequencies. ATI Tool ran for 3 hours without errors or artefacts with these settings until I closed it.
That's not very much, I know. I should be able to get core to almost 500MHz and mem...
OK...
I ran ATITool's find max core and mem. Both for about 15 minutes, and then lowered the clocks by 5MHz. They were then set at ~435 core and ~534 memory. Then I ran 3DMark2001 to see if it had any problems handling that and if there was any improvement in the score. My score of 3DMark2001...
hmm? What is it doing then..? I should just wait then? When will it bring my display up again? You've probably noticed by now that I have a lot of questions ;)
I tried finding max core with the fan fixed at 100%. ATITool froze at a bit over 2 min this time and at about 422MHz core. Why is that?
Hey, I have never overclocked a vid card before, and now I bought a card that's supposed to overclocked pretty nicely.
I'm using ATITool, since that's the tool ppl tell me to use. Is it recommended to use the "Find max core" function?
I used it. The default core frequency for my sapphire...
thanks pstang, but I figured it out on my own!
I GOT 16 PIPELINES, YOU HEAR ME, WORLD ?!?!!!!
Damn that felt good :D
Thanks again guys, for reminding me that how noob I am :D Lol, floppy cord upside down...
*simultaneously ashamed and bouncing happy*
