I recently got a new rig and this one runs a radeon vii. Previously I had a GTX 980. W/ the 980, it would allow my samsung un43ku7500fxza hdmi1 to auto choose PC(mode) (at least that is my thought as it would default to PC)
With the radeon card, I have to manually choose it when I boot. Does...
I'll try over there as well .. honestly I don't know which side it is on, although I make the change to PC Mode on the TV. I just didn't have to do that with the Nvidia card as I guess it must have sent some signal to the TV that it was coming from a PC (the TV would automatically choose PC mode).
This is correct and I set it for PC, However, when I reboot, it defaults back to HDMI-DVI (something like that). When I had the GTX 980, it would auto choose PC so I never had to worry about changing it.
Thanks for the quick reply though!

I've had the Acer 4k monitor for a few weeks now and just wanted to say a few things. After reading a lot of reviews (just on 4k on a monitor under 32 inches) people went back and forth. It seemed for some that 28 inches is too small for desktop use and for others it was just fine. For me, it is...
Alot of people are using the spyder2 (I have the express version of this ). It does a pretty good job .. however if you get the pro version or middle version, it will also adjust gamma etc ... Not sure if that is worth it or not ..
thanks,

Can I ask you a question. When you do the spyder callibration, it tells you to put your monitor to defaults. Did you adjust brightness and contrast (and color settings) before you did the calibration?
In reference to games. Won't the color settings affect the games (just not the brightness /...
I have the 226bw samsung (C Panel). I went ahead and bought a spyder2express calibration tool and I am very happy. After calibration, the colors are fantastic and very clear. My UT2004 game looks awsome. Also, I used the tool on my previous monitor (after seeing what it did to the widescreen)...
What is weird though is that I have a C panel and the RTA is turned to on and I dont have this particular issue .. I will agree with any statement that I'm not sure I'll buy as samsung again or any other companies monitor that makes it a guessing game on which panel you will get.

Sorry I can't help .. have you contacted where you bought it to replace it? Unfortunately it seems hit or miss with the 226bw. I also have a C panel, after calibration with the Spyder2express, the colors etc are great and banding is limited. I did have to enforce vsync at the nvidia control...
I too picked up a spyder2express and ran the calibration on my C Panel. It made a world of difference ... Color wise and much easier on the eyes . I would say this would be a good investment for anyone .. I still have 2 problems with this monitor though ..
1.) Does everyone get a lot of...
