question is then, will an X2-3800 oc'ed to 2.5 or above remove the cpu bottleneck?
also, will I still be able to OC the cpu with 4 x512 sticks of DDR? I know the ram will be slowed down because of the 4 sticks as opposed to 2 but I've also heard some OC'ing problems arise from that...
another thing is was wondering is if its worth sli'ing this card over buying a 8800gts 640?
all in all I think I'd rather have the power draw from one video card over two but again, don't really want to chuck my current vid card just yet either.
I'm still running XP. Thing is, I'm not trying to run the game at recommended settings, I want to run in 1920x1080 with ALL the bells and whistles at an acceptable framerate. Game runs fine in high settings (though I do get some occasional hitching), but thats not using the ultra-high textures...
After doing a bunch of research I'm still a bit stumped.
Currently Oc'ing my 3200 to 2.4 on stock voltage
1 gig (2x512) of kingston ram

I have a 42 incd 1920x1080 westinghouse and play LOTRO.
I "can" play at ultra high settings but unless im alone in the wilderness the...
I wonder if the last poster has ever actually seen the 42 as a computer monitor? I seriously doubt it. I own the 42 and use it daily as a computer monitor, its awesome, the dot pitch is FINE, best monitor I've ever owned. No banding I can detect, no stuck pixels.
I'm actually only sitting...
I just got my LVM-42w2 today and its AWESOME.
Looks great as a computer monitor, I don't notice any pixelation at all, just got done playing world of warcraft for a few hours and its perfect!
I could rave for days about it!!! Maybe I'll post a pic soon. Oh and btw, 42 is ALOT bigger than...
tip him
unfortunatley for me, I'm shipping mine via freight forwarder to costa rica...will probably have to deal with further taxes :/
I've had mine packaged more securely than the default shipping box however and have insurance, hoping for the best!
Grats on your 3rd!!! lol
Yeah, thats actually kind of frightening, I'm currently using a 19ich sceptre lcd, great for everything, but I'm starting to feel like its a wee bit small. I'll mostly be using the westy as a monitor however I do like to watch movies and hope to make use of the pip for TV occasionally.
I...
how many people have the 42 inch version of the westy?? I tried to find a 37 but ended up just spending a couple hundred more to get the 42...hope I'm happy with it, have the wall mount ready!!! ;)
question is, where? alot of the sites I see that has this cheap do not seem very trustworthy...otherwise perhaps amazon and paying $200 more?
I'm trying to keep the price down because I'm going to export this LCD to Costa Rica and will already have to deal with increased shipping and...
I really want one of these and $899 really sounds tempting...
I'm currently living in costa rica, anyone have any experience shipping something this expensive to latin america?
Unfortunately the way I understand it, tariffs on montiors/tvs are about 100% (including shipping)...if there is...
