Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Indeed it is a double pcb card, although a single pcb version did come out later. I did both parts, the disassembly is pretty straightforward, the cooler sandwiched in the middle holds them both together. Unfortunately for me it did not resurrect my card :P, oh well was worth a try, had nothing...
I just did this with my GTX 295 which has been dead for a year, figured it was out of warranty so I'd give it a go, not going to upload pics or anything but will let yas know if it worked or not once its cooled off.
I ended up going with the Enermax Revolution 85+ 1250w, whilst the 1050w variant was available you may be wondering why I didnt go with that, reason being the difference in price was 10 dollars haha, so it didn't really make any difference price wise. But thanks for the help guys.
Well I will be using a 5970, but I wanted the headroom to be able to get a second one if I desired in the future, my original plans were for an 850w psu but after looking around about whether or not that would be a smart thing to do with 2 5970's, I found out I would probably be cutting it fine...
awesome i'll add that to the list of stuff to check out, also it doesnt have to be limited to 1000w, just nothing less, and nothing stupidly high like 1500w
Hi guys, recently I've been trying to get my hands on a Corsair HX-1000, but it seams on every site throughout Australia it is out of stock (Australia is useless like that sometimes :P) Anyways is anybody able to recommend me another good reliable 1000w psu?
