I have an evga 680i motherboard with the latest BIOS flashed. I had purchased 6 identical Seagate 320GB SATA II drives for 0+1, but one of them came with a damaged PCB, so I decided to build the array with 4 drives while the damaged one was RMA'd. That went fine and I got everything working on...
I decided to go nuts and get 3 delta FFB1212EHE fans for my radiator. Hopefully they can run pretty slow on a PWM controller because I don't want them on full power all the time. :p Though I do almost always wear headphones. Lets see how 3x190cfm does with this setup. :D
Bump. :p
It looks like I could fit another 2x80 radiator into my case, but would that even be worth it? I don't seem to have the space for another pump, and would it even be worthwhile to stick a 80mm radiator onto the loop I have?
I hadn't thought about it, actually, but presently I'm using Fluid XP+.
The cooling ability shouldn't be that bad compared to water and I'm not the keenest on using coolant.
I don't really have room for another radiator in the case, and I'm trying to keep everything enclosed if possible, hmmm
My res is the tank-o-matic. I've actually got it feeding into the pump through 1/2" already, just because it was easier than converting the pump on both ends.
I don't...
Ok, so, no on the RAM and go 1/2". Anything in parallel or just make it a straight series thing?
Also, for curiosity's sake, what would it do to split that 1/2 into multiple 1/4 lines at the end if I were to include the RAM? Dammit, OCZ, why couldn't you have used G1/4" holes :p
One last...
It happened before I could even get all 4 primes running torture test. I was amazed how quickly it shot up to what I think is probably a dangerous temperature. When you stop the torture test, the temperature falls off down to its idle almost instantly, sometimes dropping 6-7C inbetween one...
Those temps were with it pushed up from 9x to 11x, so yeah, it was.
What am I looking for in the pattern? An even layer across the block?
As for applying the TIM, I heard one idea of putting some on the center of the IHS and letting the block spread it out, but I've normally just spread it...
I've got a Danger Den D5 or whatever equivalent pump and a Black Ice Xtreme GTX 360. 3/8" tubing. I want to cool a QX6700 (Dtek Fuzion), 2 8800 GTXs (Danger den), a 680i northbridge (danger den), and possibly the OCZ Flex RAM if it turns out that's worthwhile. Is this a good idea? What order...
Yeah, I was afraid of that.
I cleaned off what I could find, but I think some got under the waterblock, and this being the BFG 8800gtx, I don't have a tool to get under there. :\
