HDMI audio not plugged in; time to RMA the mobo?

I recently put together a 7850K Kaveri build with an Asus A88XM Plus/CSM. Connected directly to a TV via HDMI from the mobo. Everything works fine except the HDMI audio absolutely won't work. There appears to be two HDMI audio devices I can choose from in the playback devices window. One...

Looking for case for water cooling

Hey guys, I'm looking for a water cooling case for a dual graphics setup. Right now I have it envisioned as: CPU -> 280mm radiator 2x GPU -> 140mm radiator each (or 120mm radiator if necessary) Where the 280mm radiator will be on top as exhaust and the 2x 140mm radiators will be at...

Need a easily portable, 5 bay RAID5 solution

Sorry for my ignorance, what are the implications of that? And does the cheaper one not have it? I thought they both had identical specs in regard to SATA. Thanks for your help btw!

Need a easily portable, 5 bay RAID5 solution

As the title says, I'm in need of a storage solution that is: 1. RAID5 2. Portable in size 3. Has USB or ethernet connectivity to connect directly to computers. Would *prefer* USB3.0. 4. 5 bays (more doesn't hurt) So far, I'm contemplating this...

FS: *inexpensive* X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro modded sound card

Nope, I only heard improvements. Don't think there would be crackling/etc unless it were a botched job, which it wasnt.

FS: *inexpensive* X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro modded sound card

Up for sale is a modded X-Fi Fatal1ty. I stuck on ERS paper in the back, and the power capacitator was upgraded to a Blackgate 16v 1000uF. Overall improved sound, better bass / dynamics from what I remember the original sounded like. This is the version that comes with the shiny red LED and...

Picking Soundcard (Headphone and Speaker Output, Good Input)

The whole recording bit is the tricky part... I'm going to go with E-MU 0404. I'm not sure how it handles switching from Line Out to Headphone Out, though.

    Which Headphones?

The D2000 could be good. You do *not* want the Ultrasones. They're uncomfortable as hell. The 780's pleather make you sweat like hell. The 750's feel cheap. Both have obnoxious clamp, and that pad on the headband hurts like hell. I do believe one guy went to the doctor and the doctor...

    analog (3.5mm jack) vs opticle

Analog will allow your sound card's DAC to convert the digital signal to an analog one to play from your speakers. Optical lets the speakers' DAC to convert the digital to analog. Since you have a sound card, it no doubt has a better DAC and you should use analog as a result.

Just went from AL MX5021's to Logitech Z-2300's: *shocked* by the difference!

You want bookshelves. Polk R150 from Frys - $50 T-Amp - $60 Dayton 8" - $100 Oh, and wtf? No more Insignia's from Best Buy? Edit Oops, R150's are sold out. Damn :(

    Need a headphone recommendation

I'd go with M-Audio Q40 at your pricepoint. It's $100 off Amazon as well, and this one guy here prefers it over his D1000: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/3524051-post26.html and the whole review thread: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/m-audio-q40-impressions-long-w-pics-275459/ However...

    FS: Partial mod X-Fi Fatal1ty

Up for sale is a partially modded X-Fi Fatal1ty, $100 shipped OBO. It has the power filter cap replaced with a Blackgate, and there's ERS Paper on the back of it (Note I surrounded the ERS Paper in blue foam, so it might be somewhat ugly if you're concerned about that). If so desired, I can send...

looking for a good headphones - $300 budget

Denon D2000. ~$200, and it's easily driven, which is good since I'm assuming you're using just the sound card and not an amp? Plus, they're super comfy. You could also try HD580's ($200). Some regard them as the best value headphones under $300. I personally haven't heard them, but it...

    Which Headphones?

I don't think the Zero amp would be suitable for a 701. As the other guy said, they need lots of power/current. Oh yeah, http://cgi.ebay.com/Tianyun-ZERO-Multifuction-Decoders_W0QQitemZ110244478960QQihZ001QQcategoryZ3702QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem
