Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hey Gea, I'm getting the Tty.c: loadable library and perl binaries are mismatched (got handshake key 10c80080, needed 10f80080) error. I don't think I changed anything in the Perl environment because I only use this machine to run ZFS + Napp-it. Is there anything I can try to fix it?
Oracle...
Hey _Gea, hope you're doing well.
I'm wondering if you've ever run any tests in napp-it with several hundred ZFS Datasets. I like to have my data very modular/packable/moveable so I have automated the creation of new datasets for every new task we work on. I've accumulated several hundred...
Thanks Gea. It must be something wrong with my system. I can't remember exactly what it said, but it was stuck at something about the guest user.
I have set it with chmod -fvR A=everyone@:modify_set:file_inherit/dir_inherit:allow folder/name/path/ but I'm confused how I can also add another...
Hey Gea, not sure if it is just an issue with my system but resetting ACL permissions doesn't seem to work in the Napp-it GUI on 18.12 with Solaris 11.4.
I'm doing it manually via:
chmod A- Folder/Name
chmod -fvR A=everyone@:modify_set:file_inherit/dir_inherit:allow folder/name/path/
Does...
This likely means when you created the pool, you created it with ashift=9 but should have done ashift=12. Can anybody else comment on whether I am right on this?
In any case, it shouldn't be anything to worry about, but it can cause performance issues and you should enable proper alignment if...
Bro, you're letting your ego get to you. You're clearly wrong here. In post 13 you speculated that his issue is disk, not network (fair point), but then stated:
This is clearly not true. Spinning disks often go over 1Gb/s (125MB/s). Not always, but they can, and you said:
Then in post...
Hey Gea is it normal for the disks to show up twice when using Multi-Path? 2 HBAs, each with one cable connected to the JBOD.
How do I add these disks to a pool? Which do I select of the two?
EDIT: Fixed by adding my drive vendor and model to /etc/driver/drv/scsi_vhci.conf.
The pool was already marked as degraded for at least 24 hours, but napp-it did not send an alert. For some reason running iostat on the drive triggered the alert.
Hey Gea, just reporting on a bug I've mentioned a few times. Pushover has never sent alerts for me for degraded pools on Solaris 11.3 and Napp-it 16.x,17.x. Today I had a degraded pool and did not receive an alert. While investigating, I did an:
iostat -e c3t4d0 As soon as I did that...
Can I recover from this?
I sent snapshot1 through snapshot3 to a backup server zpool. I then deleted snapshot1 through snapshot3 on the source. I can no longer send incrementals to the backup server zpool, because I can't do snapshot3 to snapshot4, because I deleted snapshot3 on the source...
Currently using an Intel 750 U.2 in a SuperMicro Server. Like a user above said, it's good for being able to pop the drive in and out from the front of the server.
